Also since my last update, I went down to Philly to meet with Nathan Solomon, the gentleman heading up the Philly Game Lab. Its essentially a game developer incubator for the Philadelphia area. It will host a number of smaller dev teams, a QA lab, and teach various game development practices to the public. It looks like I will have the opportunity to become involved with this as it takes off and I'm excited at the potential to become involved in growing the dev scene in Philly.
I also have to mention that this meeting was a get together for local developers at Barcade. It's basically a dive bar with old, functioning, coin-op game cabinets. They also had some really decent gaming nosh; hummus, sausage quesadillas, and spicy deviled eggs. Bio-warfare jokes aside it was a really great place to hang with other gamers.
On my own development front (besides the awesome release of Hello Color). More voice over takes have been in order and I have been creating more sfx for Merchant, the up-coming RPG-trade title. My team for Aquaphobia has also been making steady progress. Even the new team members are picking up the pace quickly and grabbing work right away.
Finally, as a backhanded reward for actually reading through my little update, I have posted a late night/early morning recording on YouTube. I got a little slap happy after a few hours of voice over recording and recorded this.
